What is this?

About Us:
This website was once dedicated to the betterment of education through discourse between “progressive” educators. Then I realized it was not a website at all but a blog. I also realized that it is not solely for the use of progressive educators but it should be an open forum of discussion for anyone interested in education.

So not only did I market the wrong way… I also marketed the wrong thing! Unintentionally of course I have come to realize that this blog serves only one purpose, discussion. Whether internal or shared, the theme centers around educational change.

Change does not necessarily assure progress, but progress implacably requires change. Education is essential to change, for education creates both new wants and the ability to satisfy them.

Everyone who realizes they have a stake in this should enter into a discussion somewhere sometime. Or in the words of the great poet Rumi:

Human beings are discourse. That flowing moves through you whether you say anything or not. Everything that happens is filled with pleasure and warmth because of the delight of the discourse that’s always going on.
